房東：landlord (or landlady)
房客：tenant
出租方：lessor
承租方：lessee
e.g.The landlord will take care of repairing the office. 房東會負責辦公室的修繕。
e.g.What does the tenant do? 房客從事什麼工作?
解說：
1. 用landlord或landlady視房東是男或女而定, 若是男的, 則用landlord, 反之, 則用landlady 。
2. 口語用landlord與tenant, 書面像是租賃合約等用lessor與lessee。
3. 問別人是做什麼的, 英文會說: what do you do? 房東通常會在意房客是做什麼的, 所以這邊提供這樣一個例句。
出租、租金：rent
e.g. I’d like to rent an office. 我想租間辦公室。
e.g. This office rents for NT$ 80,000 a month. 這間辦公室租金一個月八萬元。
e.g. What’s the rent? 租金多少?
How much is the rent? 租金多少?
解說：
1. rent可當動詞做「出租」解, 也可當名詞做「租金」解。
2. 問多少錢可以 how much is + 名詞 或以 what is +名詞的方式表示。
押金：(security) deposit
e.g. How many month’s rent must I pay for security deposit? 我須付幾個月的押金?
e.g. How much is the deposit? 押金要多少?
e.g. Will security deposit be returned later? 押金之後會還嗎?
解說：
1. 押金的英文是security deposit, 也可只用deposit表示。
租約、 租期：lease
e.g. How long is the lease? 租期多久?
e.g. Do I have to sign a twenty-four month lease? 我須要簽兩年的租約嗎?
e.g. Will the rent be raised during the lease?租賃期間租金會調漲嗎?
e.g. When should we give an advance notice to stop the lease?若要停止租約, 何時要事先給予通知。
水電瓦斯：utilities
e.g. Are utilities included in the rent? 租金是否含水電瓦斯?
e.g. What utilities am I responsible for? 我要負擔水電瓦斯嗎?
解說:：
1. 含不含什麼, 英文用include。例句1的句構超好用哦, 若出國旅行想知道你所支付的費用有沒有含什麼, 都可以用這樣的句子表達。比方說：Is breakfast included in the rate? 早餐是否包含在房價內?
2. 在國外水電瓦斯就用utilities一個字表示, 不像在台灣這些費用是一一分開的。
平方公尺：square meter
e.g. How many square meters is that office? 那辦公室有幾平方公尺
解說：
1. 台灣習慣用坪(ping), 老外習慣用平方公尺即平方米(square meter)。1坪 = 3.3058平方公尺; 1平方公尺 = 0.3025坪。
分租：sublet
e.g. Is it possible to sublet? 可以分租(給別人)嗎?
解說：
1. sublet是分租、轉租的意思, 不是所有房東都能接受房客當二房東哦, 所以要這麼做時, 記得要問一下。
配置、裝備：furnish
e.g. Is it furnished? 有附家具嗎? 有附辦公設備嗎?
解說：
1. 因為是問有沒有附家具, 所以有些人可能會想到furniture(家具)這個字, 但這個字只有名詞, 所以不要自己把它加上d變形容詞哦, 即Is it furnitured, 這樣就錯囉。
景觀、視野：view
e.g. Is there a view from here? 從這邊看得到景觀嗎?
採光：sunlight, natural light
e.g. Does the office get/receive much sunlight/ natural light?
解說：
1. sunlight是指太陽光, natural light是指自然光, 當講到採光時, 這兩個字都可以用。真的記不起來的話, 用bright(明亮)也可以, 比方說, Is this office bright and airy?這間辦公室是不是明亮且通風?
